Responsibilities Syntelligent is seeking a Data Engineer with active TS/SCI clearance and current CI Poly (preferred) for an awarded/funded contract in support of a government customer in Chantilly, VA. Primary Responsibilities: The Data Engineer is responsible for operating and enabling comprehensive, scalable, flexible, and rigorous Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) ready analytic data environment for a key player in the IC. * Works in cross-functional teams with data at all stages of the analysis lifecycle to derive actionable insight. * Translates mission needs into an end-to-end analytical approach to achieve results. * Performs the pre-analytics areas of data collection and understanding, data cleansing and integration, and data storage and retrieval. * Determines the appropriate analytics based on the data and the desired outcomes, using techniques including feature detection, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and business intelligence. * Interprets the validity of results and communicates the meaning of those results. * Has familiarity with data wrangling, analytics, and visualization software and programming languages, including analytics methods for big data. * Follows a scientific approach to generate value from data, verifying results at each step. * Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. * Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. * Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. * Undertakes preprocessing of structured and unstructured data. * Supports ETL, data warehousing, reporting, data exploration and visualization, analytics and data provisioning. Supports ingestion of diverse data sources, including preprocessing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data to develop data warehouse for data science use cases and machine learning applications. * Presents information using data visualization techniques and applies experience in the areas of Big Data design and implementation for data intensive problems (high Volume-Velocity-Variety scenarios) using platforms AWS.Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives. * Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Qualifications Required Skills: * Bachelors degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and ten (10) years or more experience; PhD or JD and six (6) years or more experience. * At least five (5) years demonstrated experience working with Big Data, data visualization, and using platforms like Hadoop-based infrastructure and services, AWS and AZURE, etc. * At least three (3) years demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams with data at all stages of the analytical life cycle, and using appropriate analytical techniques, including but not limited to feature detection, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and business intelligence. * Knowledge of structured and unstructured data. * Familiarity with machine learning applications. * Familiarity with ETL, data warehouseing, analytics and data provisioning. (REQUIRED) Active TS/SCI clearance and current CI Poly (or ability to obtain prior to hiring). * (MAY BE REQUIRED) Current Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (IFPC) (or higher DIE Certification such as GPC-F) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire ( ).
