SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION * Provide subject matter expertise including strategy, policy, programmatic, requirements, and capability analysis support in the area of combat identification (CID), Identification friend or foe (IFF), and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) tactical communications systems and waveforms. * Support development of technology and policy solutions providing timely, safe, and operationally relevant access to the 1030/1090 MHz Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) spectrum in the National airspace without undue restrictions on Civil Airspace access, Military Air Traffic Control, and Military aircraft and surface ship situational awareness. * Support Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) acceptance of DoD certification standards for IFF systems. * Provide SME support to the Policy Board on Federal Aviation (PBFA) IFF subgroup. * Support U.S. Delegation to NATO IFF Capability Team in developing and coordinating DoD CIO positions on technical and policy issues, helping to ensure interoperability of DoD and NATO IFF systems. * Provide technical support and prepare roadmaps, policy, and standards to assist government in ensuring CSAR communications interoperability among DoD and partner nations. * Develop recommendations, reports, and briefing materials required to guide and inform the DoD CIO C3-related decisions and capabilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Masters and 15 years of relevant experience. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently, but also as a part of a team, with the following specific experience: * Prior experience in the development of or operational use of CID, IFF, and/or search and rescue radio systems * OSD, Joint, Combatant Command, NATO, or Military Department staff experience * Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Standards and Policies * Knowledge of the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process, Defense Acquisition System (DAS), PPBE, and other related processes within the DoD * Top Secret Clearance with SCI adjudication DISCLAIMER In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail .
