SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: ANSER is seeking an experienced Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) analyst to provide technical and analytical support to the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10). Specifically, the analyst will: * Provide technical analysis to address questions that arise in the CWMD operations (non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike, counter-air/space actions), ability to survive and operate (ATSO) while conducting air operations, and CBRN defense technical domains. * Provide technical research and operational evaluations to assess, interpret, shape, and help advise the Air Staff and other AF organizations regarding what operational and scientific testing results mean to the AF operator (e.g., pilot, navigator, aircrew, loadmasters, maintainers, defenders). * Perform technical analyses which include the following: * Characterize and operationally assess the full range of threat agents, delivery means, release mechanisms, and release environments for CBRN weapons. * Assess operational impacts of CBRN weapons on the full range of common airbase environments (e.g. surfaces, equipment, and structures). * Monitor advances in the scientific communitys understanding of the CBRN hazard environment and make recommendations for updating the DAFs hazard duration risk management tools. * Conduct technical reviews of Joint Operational Requirements Documents to ensure CWMD ops and CBRN defense development and acquisition programs are consistent with AF key performance parameters (KPPs). * Support the development, management, execution, and implementation of the AF CWMD strategy and implementation guidance. * Interface with DoD and non-DoD institutions to promote research, testing, and education in the areas of CWMD, counter proliferation, non-proliferation, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) defense operations. * Interface with Joint Staff, Air Staff, AF MAJCOMs, other AF agencies and other Services, and engage in foreign military-to-military exchanges on CWMD and CBRND issues. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: * Candidate must have a Top Secret clearance with SCI * Candidate must have combined 8+ years of experience: * conducting scientific analysis of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons and materials/agents properties, hazards, attack profiles, behavior in different environments, and impact/effects on military systems (i.e. aircraft), materials, and personnel. * conducting Operational Analysis/assessment of impact of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons/materials/attack profiles/agent properties, and hazards on Air Force/Air Component core missions operations, especially generating and launching fighter aircraft and conducting air mobility operations. * working and coordinating with DoD and non-DoD offices and organizations. * working with and supporting senior staff organizations including at the Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or at the Office of the Secretary of Defense level. * planning, directing, and managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and senior level officials with minimal oversight. * conducting research, analysis, data-mining, and provide products (papers, briefs, reports, etc.). * Demonstrated knowledge of AF core missions and how they interconnect with AF Major Command mission sets and warfighting combatant command capabilities. * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team environment. * Demonstrated experience in generating executive level briefings; drafting information, point, white, and decision papers; and conducting gap analyses and studies.
