Home Chef is hiring Picker/Packers! Home Chef provides delicious meal solutions; delivering all of the fresh, pre-portioned ingredients, with easy to follow recipes, that help our customers enjoy meals everyone will love any night of the week.

No experience is needed for the Picker/Packer role. Home Chef will provide you training in areas such as food safety, quality assurance and packing/shipping procedures. Our facilities operate 24 hours a day, every day, with busy shipping periods on weekends.

Your days will consist of:

• Portioning and packing Home Chef meals for our customers
• Using proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients
• Labeling packages and preparing items for shipping
• Receiving direction from Supervisor, Line Lead and/or Team Lead to fulfill production requirements
• Transitioning between tasks when needed
• Collecting production and quality data
• Working as a team to reach shipping goals
• Following all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) while onsite
• Keeping your work area clean at all times and assisting in end of day cleanup

Job Requirements:

• General high school degree, or equivalent (e.g. GED) preferred
• Ability to meet attendance guidelines (may include holidays, weekends, and overtime)
• Accuracy & attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to work on a team
• Self-motivation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Our work is performed in a refrigerated environment (38 degrees or below inside at all times)
• Team members must be able to stand for extended periods of time (Shift 8 hours)
• Team members must be able to lift up to 50lbs (for example, you may have to periodically move cases of produce)
