    Position Summary

    DISPENSING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - COMPOUNDING TEAM
    We are a specialty and compounding pharmacy in search for an energetic, detail-oriented pharmacy technician committed to delivering exceptional results within our filling and dispensing function. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop the various aspects of professional pharmacy compounding in a fun, and encouraging environment.     What you’ll be doing:

    • Accurately fulfill and label orders from compounded stock for pharmacist verification
    • Pick and process sales orders
    • Carefully and meticulously fulfill compounded medication orders
    • Assist in the final packaging and shipping of sales orders
    • Maintain systems for dispensing and inventory control
    • Maintain extremely accurate data for compounded medication stock. Identify and immediately correct discrepancies. 
    • Ensure accuracy in scanning medications into our system
    • Follow quality assurance/control procedures
    • Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous wastes and drugs
    • Maintain and sanitize the compounding lab, equipment, and tools
    • Complete all necessary documentation associated with these activities
    • Report out-of-specification observations, deviations, and modifications to the compounding pharmacist and Quality Control/Compliance Officer
    • Stock ingredients and supplies in accordance with storage requirements and remove expired products from shelves or other storage areas

    Licenses and Certifications
    •    Pharmacy Technician License is required
    •    Knowledge and experience in a compounding/specialty pharmacy is preferred but not necessary
