This position will work closely with the Director of Workforce Research and Utah Nursing Workforce Information Center housed within the Utah System of Higher Education.
Conduct survey research and analysis of the health workforce using government, public and industry provided data sets.
Build statistical projection models.
Build data visualizations and dashboards.
Produce clearly written and understandable reports and analysis.
Brief/ make oral presentations to policy makers, legislators, administrators and other healthcare stakeholders on findings.
Collaborate on projects with health services researchers.
At least 1 year experience with one of the following: R, Tableau, Python or SQL .
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple language to a diverse audience of health professionals, policy makers, and stakeholders.
Ability to work in a small, supportive team environment involving teaching and mentoring of team members and interns.
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and independence while maintaining communication and coordination toward common goals.
Ability to communicate and maintain relationships with various outside stakeholders in the healthcare industry through participation on committees, boards and associations.

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalency; two years related experience; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
Master's degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Policy, Public Health or related field preferred.
Experience with data cleaning, wrangling, ETL, Github.
Familiarity with professional licensing data, unemployment insurance records, insurance claims data, NPPES, HPSA's, Census/ ACS data also preferred.
