UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus Position Summary:
Assembles, portions, labels, restocks foods for cafeteria services. Provides appropriate and hospitable service to customers. Maintains sanitation of cafeteria. Performs ware washing duties. Assists in training of other food service workers.Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares area for food serving. Sets up steam tables and service areas with hot food items, salads, desserts, fruits, breakfast foods, etc.
- Prepares and portions salads and desserts. May slice meats and prepare deli items i. e. sandwiches, mixed salads, cheese, etc.
- Replenishes food items as necessary.
- Participates in cafeteria special events.
Equivalent to completion of two years high school.
Requires the ability to carry out instructions and procedures that are standardized. Ability to read, write and speak English. Understands basic weights and measures. Understands basic mathematical functions. Ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds.Standards of Respect:
