    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    Our Medical Assistant under the direction of Physician, prepares patients for examination and assists with examinations and minor office surgeries.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Certification of a Medical Assistant program
    • Current CPR
    • California State Phlebotomy Certification (required within 12 months)
    • Demonstrates skills in taking vital signs, and height and weight measurements Knowledge of sterile technique and handling of infectious waste Ability to work as a team and communicate well, and interact appropriately with others Able to work in spite of frequent interruptions High level of concentration and attention to detail
    Preferred:
    • Additional EMT or equivalent experience
