Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital is currently seeking a specialty dietician.
Writes orders per the Medical Nutrition Therapy patient care policy #2054.
Counsels patients and/or family on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selections taking into account cultural and ethnic requests.
Develops, implements, and documents the nutritional care plans based on assessment of patient nutritional needs taking into account both growth and disease state requirements in the pediatric population.
Communicates appropriate dietary history and nutritional care data through the medical record documentation system.
Coordinate education in the diet office as needed.
The Specialty Dietitian is expected to adhere to Orlando Health policies, procedures, guidelines, mission and vision statements, and commitment to excellence.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited university or college
Licensed Dietitian within the State of Florida.
Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND); Certification obtained through the Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Certification obtained through the National Board for Nutrition Support Certification for Nutrition Support Clinicians, any Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Specialty Certification, or Certification obtained through the National Certification Board for Certified Diabetes Educators. (Other Certifications not listed above will be reviewed by the Clinical Nutrition Council as requested on an individual basis to be considered and approved.)
Two (2) years clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Pediatric Experience Preferred, this is a full time role in the Neonatal ICU.
