You will be building and leading a high-performing team of engineers who are setting and evolving the technology direction of our next-generation lending platforms.
We are seeking an energetic, customer-oriented engineering manager who will build and oversee an engineering team while optimizing, managing, and contributing to a culture of quality and commercial success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivate, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of 5 - 8 software engineers while enabling excellent teamwork
Design and deliver platform services that evolve dynamic, scalable, and resilient loan application routing capabilities
Directly and indirectly lead a team of offshore software engineers towards the development and implementation of program goals
Take ownership for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex, cross-functional technical projects
Ensure quality of deliverables, setting standards to ensure resiliency, fault-tolerance, performance, and scalability
Accountable for all parts of the software development lifecycle and the technical debt in their software
Conduct release planning, sprint planning, design reviews, code reviews, retrospectives, and other related activities
Ensure the stability and reliability of our production platforms and lending services
Ensure effective and timely communication of status and issues
Evangelize adoption of development best practices such as agile and lean methodologies, DevOps, continuous delivery, and test automation
Proactively help team members and make suggestions to improve practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years of experience leading software delivery projects
Enthusiastic embrace of DevOps culture and collaborative software engineering techniques and methods
Experience with iSeries development and related technologies (e.g. ILE COBOL, MQ, DB2) is a strong plus
Knowledge of iSeries API's, data queues, user queues, multithreading, and journaling is a strong plus
BA/BS degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent practical experience is required
Technical and/or industry certifications is a plus
