The Assistant Director for student engagement, diversity, and wellness functions under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs of the College of Medicine, and works in cooperation with appropriate College of Medicine offices including the Office of Medical Education and within existing university policies, procedures, and practices.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, psychology, or related field. Three years of higher education experience.
Effective communication both verbally and in writing to successfully perform the essential tasks. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on student centered services.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and task switch easily.
Demonstrated high professional and ethical standards, and the ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.
Demonstrated ability to build positive working relations with individuals at all levels within an academic institution and commitment to a team-oriented culture.
Travel to CMED regional and distributed campuses and sites, which can include some evenings and weekends. Responsibilities will include being accessible on evenings, some weekends, and during some university holidays.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
