    Position Summary:

    Core-Mark is looking for an action-oriented and motivated individual who is passionate about driving process improvement and motivating and leading a team of driven, customer-obsessed associates and team leads, all while analyzing systemic issues and implementing solutions to challenging problems. The AP Manager sets the vision and culture of their teams by handling individual and team performance expectations and goals, maintaining singular focus on ensuring and improving customer satisfaction. Identifying broader customer impacting issues and implementing solutions to drive quality and productivity, while achieving real time desired service levels. An ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, dynamic team environment.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Manage Accounts Payable invoice process related to Trade and Expense payables.
    • Responsible for accurate payment and accounting for payables and managing vendor and customer escalations.
    • Develops, implements, and maintains systems, procedures and policies, training materials and A/P processes to ensure adherence to Company guidelines and compliance with all SOX requirements.
    • Responsible for the hiring, training, development and evaluation of staff to ensure maximum performance & continuous improvement.
    • Develops monitoring KPIs to drive continual department efficiencies.
    • Responsible for maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Actively participate in and drive the continuous improvement culture through lean projects. Identifying and eliminating barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality.
    • Responsible for the overall performance management, coordination and evaluation of the team.
    • Partners with other departments to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
    • Assign associates to jobs; instructs in the proper performance of work; familiarize associates with procedures
    • Ensure all procedures outlined are being followed by assigned department personnel
    • Leads, coordinates and reports on special projects relating to operations analysis, acquisitions, dispositions, and other finance / operational projects
    • Monitor service level metrics and key performance indicators (KPI)
    • Responsible for appropriate internal controls over department operations
    • Seek out and implement "best practices"
    • Provides support to Finance Leadership for the coordination and preparation of key performance reports for both operations and corporate management
    • Coordinates resolution of accounting or finance questions affecting operating results.
    • Develops and maintains special analytical tools and recommendations for actions to improve profitability
    • Responsible for the evaluating, recommending, maintaining and monitoring appropriate internal controls
    • Review and approve updated policies and procedures in addition to internal control documentation
    • Works on special projects as directed by Finance Leadership
    • Responsible for staffing, coaching, developing, and performance management for direct reports
    • Meets or exceeds quality and productivity goals assigned by management.

    • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor and portrays the company in a positive light.
    • Proactively communicates system and process issues, and customer feedback trends to management.

    Relevant Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    The ideal candidates will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment. They will be creative and analytical problem solvers with a passion for excellent customer service.
    • Bachelor's degree required in Finance or a related discipline preferred
    • Minimum 5+ of relevant work experience and 3+ years supervisory exposure in managing a team of associates in a delivery and operational role
    • Broad experience with cross functional program management preferred
    • Hands on SAP system experience in ECC 6.0 A/P environment
      • OpenText scanning experience and additional large ERP / AS400 experience a plus
    • Ability to solve problems and re-engineer process using analytical frameworks to streamline the process.
    • Possess ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data through effective communication
    • Excellent communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
    • Must be a self-starter who can work well within various situations (from well-defined to unstructured) and proactively identify business improvement areas
    • Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a dynamic and customer-focused environment
    • Ability to interact at all levels in the organization from Executives to staff, including non-exempt level
    • Demonstrates functional knowledge/expertise and people coaching/mentoring abilities
    • Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written with all levels of management, strong customer focus and ability to work in geographically dispersed teams.
    • Ability to solve problems and re-engineer process using analytical frameworks to streamline the process.
    • Must be able to write clear and easily understood procedures/standards
    • Excellent leadership with team building ability
    • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
    • Advanced computer skills using a variety of software including Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
    • Ability to manage competing priorities
