The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as items from our signature menu. You will oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies and collect money for drinks served.
Receive orders from patrons and waitstaff.
Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
Maintain the bar and keep it clean and organized.
Attractively display glasses and liquor bottles.
Keeps bar supplied with snacks, if any.
Ensure that patrons are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
Collect money from patrons for drinks prepared and served.
Seize upon every opportunity to upsell, making friendly recommendations to our patrons.
Use proper judgment and, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
Submit orders or create requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
Must be at least 21 years of age, legal drinking/serving age.
Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service.
Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant.
Education and Experience:
Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required.
At least one year of related experience preferred.
Liquor permit required.
Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
