Through this work, the engineer will gain a valuable understanding of the operation of various Navy reactor, propulsion, electrical, and control systems via research and design, implementation, and hands-on testing of several simulator systems. These simulators are used to train Naval Nuclear Operators on current and future Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program ship classes. The successful candidate will work in an agile, team-oriented development environment in roles that may include researching, planning, designing, modeling, analyzing, documenting, testing, and presenting your engineering solutions. You will apply your knowledge, creativity, and software design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills daily to exciting and challenging assignments.
