Location: Topeka, KS
Duration: 3 Months
Description:
• Provide support to HR team
• Maintain filing and record systems electronically and paper for hourly and salaried employees active/inactive
• Discipline Tracking owner – data entry for disciplines and record keeping employee files
• File, track and trend employee complaints
• Maintain I 9’s and self-identification forms for all employees/maintain for audit
• Deliver hourly new hire orientation and policy overview
• Maintain the EEO tracking applicant register for corporate/plant
• Manage labor law postings, HR info on plant boards/all plant policies & updates on plant boards
• Assist with new hire process & paperwork
• Process retirements/retiree issues
• Coordinate and schedule new salaried employee onboarding & paperwork/process to corporate
• Screen, follow-up, route & resolve telephone calls & requests, as needed
• Prepare & manage daily correspondence, presentations, mail, emails & fax distribution for department
• Order HR office supplies/order HR forms/hiring paperwork
• Maintain filing and organization of HR record keeping
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
• High School diploma with minimum 2-4 years experience in high level administrative role.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Knowledge to HR processes, a plus
• Experience working with frontline employees preferred
• Approachable & willing to help others
• Possess technical competence and analytical ability, with an understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Self-starter, with good organizational skills, and detail-oriented.
• Team-oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
