: Maintenance Leader POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of associates engaged in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment. The position coordinates preventative and predictive maintenance activities, with a focus on minimizing downtime, parts inventory and repair costs. INTERACTION:
- Reports to Logistics Maintenance Leader.
Interaction with other leaders and associates in the department.
Interaction with other individuals within the Distribution Center and Business Partners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Directs department personnel in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and repair of distribution center machinery and equipment.
Assists in planning and maintaining a continual work schedule for department personnel.
Develops schedules and assists in controlling a preventative maintenance program utilizing CMMS.
Assists team members in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
Inspects jobs in progress and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.
Supports in maintaining inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels through inventory control and purchase requisition procedures.
Recommends, plans and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or achieve cost reduction; supports tool/equipment design and fabrication for reprocessing projects.
Works with engineering on electrical and mechanical equipment layouts and the modification of the facility.
Ensures that high standards of safety are developed, met and maintained, to include; lock-out/tag-out procedures, start-up/shut-down procedures, confined space training, etc. Arranges or provides training as required.
Participates in annual budget preparation.
- Administers company policies and practices, and ensures compliance.
Responsible for maintaining a clean/safe work environment.
Maintains confidentiality of all company and customer information.

- Leads maintenance team leaders on a daily basis through activities including (but not restricted to) hiring, motivating, delegating, promoting, counseling and coaching, performance appraisals and pay-rate reviews; scheduling and termination.

Standing on feet 80% of day. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant experience.
At least 5 years experience in maintenance leadership preferred.
Highly skilled in troubleshooting industrial equipment and automation.
Proven leadership skills and experience in employee relations.
Critical thinking skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting.
Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point
Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements
