Position Summary: This position will provide subject matter expertise to customers in mechanical packaging and design, mechanism and actuator design, structural analysis, and new concept development Responsibilities: * Provide technical insight to system development * Make recommendations on component selection, packaging design * Evaluate concept designs and system integration strategies * Review development contractor's documents and procedures, requirements flow down, verification methodologies, calibration plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and test plans to ensure program success * Review program for high-risk areas and recommend mitigation approaches * Participate as subject matter experts in operations daily meetings, working groups, engineering review boards, design reviews, test readiness reviews, operational readiness reviews * Refine and develop measures of effectiveness, improvements to system environments, and creation of new procedures to support all facets of testing and operations * Possesses strong analytical skills and have good interpersonal and communications skills in dealing with multiple contractor and government organizations * Other job duties as assigned Experience: * Proficiency using Solid Works 3D Modeling and AutoCAD software. * Familiarity with MIL-STD Environmental Qualification Testing: MIL-DTL-901E, MIL-STD-167, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810 * Familiarity with Rack, Cabinet design and EIA-310 * Strong technical, managerial, interpersonal, written and verbal skills are a must. * Must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers. * Must have strong task delegation, multitasking, and time management skill.
