The Total Rewards Specialist coordinates and manages daily activities relating to the company’s employee compensation and benefits programs. Success comes by demonstrating strong team collaboration and organization skills to work effectively with human resources partners across the company and a variety of third-party vendors.
Ensures HRIS and vendor systems contain accurate data and are configured to support business requirements.
Ensures and advises on compliance with established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state or local legislation, including periodic audits.
Recommends solutions to total reward employee and process issues focused on continuous improvement and leveraging technology while leveraging an understanding of environmental factors, competitiveness and trends.
Key Responsibilities - Compensation
Evaluates and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents and are classified as exempt or non-exempt.
- Completes compensation surveys and benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive pay grade for each position.
- Develops and maintains pay grades, ranges, geographic differentials and other foundational elements of the compensation program.
Key Responsibilities - Benefits
Administers employee benefit programs including life, disability, health insurance and 401k savings by overseeing enrollment, timely delivery of contributions and payroll deductions, and communications with vendors and employees. Responds to routine and nonroutine requests.
