Summary:
The center administrator oversees the patient flow and the daily operations of the medical center. This role is responsible for the effective administration of the center and its employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision to medical staff, front desk staff, environmental staff and other staff as assigned including hiring, terminating, conducting performance reviews, recommendation of salary increases, review and approval of employee's timecards and approving personal time off (PTO) requests on a bi-weekly basis.
Responsible for exercising independent judgment and discretion about matters of significant impact to the operations.
Handle confidential information including patient information in an ethical and professional manner.
Establish work schedules and assignments for staff according to workload, space and equipment availability.
Approve and submit pending invoices to our accounting department in a timely manner.
Ensure that all staff members answer telephone calls in a timely and polite manner; demonstrate exceptional customer service; and communicate with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
Oversee and maintain a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
Administer HIPAA and OSHA training.
Work closely with physicians to ensure patient satisfaction.
Work with billing department to assure proper coding as per physician diagnosis.
Supervise the completion of HEDIS/5-Star measures.
Accomplish employment objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Maintain office supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
Maintain sufficient medical supplies for the proper treatment of patients.
Ensure that all employees conduct themselves in according to the policies established by the company. Administers disciplinary action according to company policy and submits documentation to the Department of HR.
Ensure compliance with all company policies.
Ensure that all HIPAA standards are in compliance.
Maintain medical center to AHCA standards.
Perform duties in honest and ethical manner.
Open and follow up any outstanding IT or Facilities service tickets
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two (2) years of medical office or administrative experience.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
MS Office programs experience.
Must have CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Training and certification can be provided upon hire.
