Job SummaryResponsible for assisting with leadership in the manufacturing floor on a daily basis ensuring Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP, Safety and Quality processes are always followed. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily production activities to ensure manufacturing schedule is metOrganize daily employee tasks and activitiesEffectively lead shift to ensure plant productivity, quality, and safety standards are metControl payroll cost by managing employees and temporary staffing needsConduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure ‘one right way' methodology is enforced and improvements are made when necessaryCoordinate activities with supporting departments; maintenance, supply chain, processing, and qualityProvide performance coaching to and development of hourly employeesEnsure all equipment is running properly and coordinate needed repairsConduct root cause analysis, loss scene investigation, and breakdown analysis as needed Create and train out SOP's, SWI's, and OPL's Ensure employees have the right tools and training to be successful in their roleRegular attendance is an essential function of this position. Additional FunctionsPerform other duties as assigned. Qualification & Experience RequirementsBachelor's in related field preferred. Experience Required: Minimum of four years of experience in food manufacturing environment or equivalent type of manufacturingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.Experience with developing and implement process improvements and KPI's Experience in aseptic /ESL beverage filling/packaging Experience with TPM or continuous/focused improvementMust be able to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends when needed.Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products.Language, Computer & Numeracy: Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointStrong math skills, and knowledge of the metric system, are requiredSAP Experience preferredTravel RequirementsMinimal domestic travel required (
