Job Description: JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required:
One year of child development work experience in a school, kindergarten or licensed child care center. Ability to communicate audibly, verbally and using computer and written processes. Demonstrated ability to respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies in addition to one of the following:
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Care, one (1) or more years of child development work experience in a school, kindergarten or licensed child care/family child care setting, and a Certificate from The Registry indicating qualifications as a Child Care Teacher, Level 12 or above. (One supervised student teaching practicum is equal to one year child development work experience.)
- Bachelor Degree in Education from an institution of higher education or a license from the WI Department of Public Instruction to act as a teacher, and a Certificate from The Registry indicating qualifications as a Child Care Teacher, Level 12 or above.
- Bachelor Degree in a related field with a Certificate from the Registry indicating the person is qualified as a Level 12 Child Care Teacher.
None CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.Minimum Required:
Completion of Shaken Baby, SIDS Training and Child Abuse and Neglect within first week of Hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. First Aide and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) within three months of hire. Preferred/Optional:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. First Aide and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at time of hire.
