    As an air source testing technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants you'll conduct air source compliance emissions testing (stack testing) and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATAs) at various facilities and locations throughout the United States.

    This is a position with a flexible work schedule and involves hands on services preparing, calibrating and performing testing as part of a field team supporting client projects to measure and determine emission levels using state and federal test methods. You will collaborate and work as part of a project team of scientists that provide air quality testing services. You'll perform calibration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of gas analyzers and analytical instrumentation in continuous emission monitoring systems.

    • Familiarity and ability to use various test equipment such as multi meters, flow meters, and electronic test equipment in order to calibrate and troubleshoot instruments.
    • Two plus years of experience, traveling to client sites to work with all aspects of a CEM system and will have experience with the operation of various analyzer platforms from common manufacturers such as: ABB, Siemens, Rosemount, Teledyne, Thermo Fisher Scientific, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge.
    • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the environmental compliance requirements of 40 CFR Part 75, 40 CFR Part 60, and various State or Local rules related to CEMS Maintenance and Quality Control and Quality assurance.
    • Ability to work in outdoor settings, including climbing to and working on elevated platforms, lift 50 pounds, consideration for flexible work hours, scheduled and unscheduled overtime including limited week end work and overnight travel
    • Must have or be able to acquire quickly a good working ability with Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, managers, clients and vendors and adhere to basic safety requirements and site specific client safety requirements.
    • Experience at power stations, refineries, manufacturing, and mining facilities is a plus
    • High school diploma with basic understanding or math and science
    • Associates degree and technical/trade skills are preferred
