Who We Are

Who You Are
As a full-time Early Childhood Education faculty member in the Online Learning Department, you provide online instruction in all levels of early childhood education. You are an Early Childhood Educator with broad teaching interests and abilities in online education. You have experience teaching a variety of ECE courses, including child development, curriculum techniques, child guidance, early childhood leadership, early childhood special education, infant/toddler development, fieldwork experiences, home/school/community relations, and health/safety/nutrition for young children.
You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.
As a faculty member you act as a mentor for the part-time instructors. You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.
You have experience in curriculum development, you are invested in online education, and you exhibit excitement for developing as an educator and a leader in your field.
Additional responsibilities include working with local community partners to secure fieldwork placements, collaborating with higher education partners at the two-year and 4-year levels, maintaining knowledge of current workforce requirements from the Colorado Office of Early Childhood, participating in advisory board meetings, working collaboratively across FRCC campuses to meet accreditation requirements for the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and contributing to the ECE program's five-year plan.
You are encouraged to provide evidence demonstrating alignment with FRCC's vision of teaching excellence, the ECE Program Learning Outcomes, as well as attention and efforts towards achieving equity in student success outcomes. You are encouraged to provide evidence that you recognize the impacts of opportunity gaps on students, along with evidence of specific efforts to achieve equity in student success outcomes.
SELECTION PROCESS: Position will remain open until filled with a priority deadline of April 28, 2021.

Completed application package includes: An eForm application; A resume; A copy of official transcripts; A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy; A list of courses and the semesters you have taught.
Please note: this position does include some on-campus presence. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.
SALARY: $54,130 - $61,617 per academic year. Please see our 2021-2022 Salary Matrix for more specific information.
