Facilities Painter - Full-time / Part-time

We have partnered with a state-run facility that is looking for a Painter that can start on an immediate basis. Ideal candidates will be living in the Greater Boston area and would be comfortable working in Jamaica Plain, MA. The facility is willing to pay to up $35/hr based on experience Responsibilities: - Performs all necessary activities to properly apply paint, varnish, stain and other coating/finishes to all types of surfaces; mixes paint, stains and other materials - Repairs and replaces glass and other transparent materials used on windows, doors, skylights and vision panels - Strips, applies and repairs wall coatings, including wallpaper, vinyl, and textured materials - Protects adjacent areas from over spray, spray dust, fumes, dust and vapors - Maintains paint logs, assist in moving of furniture and ability to load/unload supplies Qualifications: - Knowledge of practices and techniques of painting including the types and uses of paints, stains, varnishes and other coatings / finishes. - Understanding of tools and equipment used to prepare and finish surfaces using paints, varnishes, stains, wall coverings and textured surfaces - Ability to follow and issue written and verbal instructions - Must have a valid drivers license and be have reliable transportation to Jamaica Plain, MA If you'd like to apply, please submit a resume for consideration We are an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants for employment regardless of race, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, color, religion, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, or any other protected factor #pando2-2
