We are a Food Business Accelerator. We build successful food businesses by bringing together our Accelerator with access to our Kitchen, Distribution, and Stores. Union Kitchen is looking for motivated, hardworking people who are passionate about food and building our community to join our Kitchen Facility Team.  

Our Kitchen Team is responsible for managing our production facility where over 80 local food businesses produce food and beverage products sold across the country. We ensure the highest standards of food safety and organization maintained by our team for the businesses operating within our space. We always insist on excellence!

As a Team Lead You Will 

  • Maintain organization of our facility to promote operational efficiency and food safety

  • Work closely with your team to accomplish all facility cleaning tasks

  • Support the operational elements of running a successful production facility, including cleaning and equipment maintenance

  • Develop leadership skills around managing processes and people

  • Learn how to manage a facility that supports the local DC food ecosystem

  • Maintain facility log and food safety programs 

  • Learning how to conduct weekly inventory and food safety audits

  • Gain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP courses and certifications to prepare you in a career in food safety

  • Support in daily implementation of our SSOP 

  • Work closely with Food Safety General Manager on executing follow up activities from internal and third-party inspections including USDA and DC Health Department.
