      Position Summary:  
      Assists Early Learning Center/Child Care Supervisor with children by providing support for an educational and safe environment.

      Training and Experience:
      • Must be 18 years or older.
      • Must possess valid Department of Health Services (DHS) fingerprint clearance card for Child Care
      Employees and Volunteers (ARS 36-883.02)
      Provides the licensee with documentation of one of the following:
      a. Six months of child care experience and:
      i. A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; or
      ii. At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least six credit hours
      in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field;
      iii. b. Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child
      development, or a closely-related field; or
      iv. c. N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential.
      ? A facility director's designee must be 21 years of age or older and provides the licensee with documentation
      of one of the following:
      a. At least 12 months of child care experience, a high school or high school equivalency diploma, and:
      i. Three credit hours or more in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field from
      an accredited college or university, or ii. At least 30 actual hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in early childhood, child development, or a closely-
      related field;
      b. At least 12 months of child care experience and:
      i. An N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential; or
      ii At least 24 credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least six credit hours
      in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field;
      c. At least six months of child care experience and an associate degree from an accredited college
      or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field; or
      d. At least three months of child care experience and a bachelor degree from an accredited college
      or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field.

Position Summary:

Assists Early Learning Center/Child Care Supervisor with children by providing support for an educational and safe environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises children enrolled in the center.
  • Provides creative, structured activities for the center.
  • Provides clerical assistance when necessary including copying, laminating, filing, typing weekly newsletter.
  • Prepares the room for closing, cleans, stores equipment and locks up.
  • Shops for any food or supplies needed in the center.
  • Ensures that all work is completed in accordance with District policy and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Training and Experience:

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Licensing/Certification Requirements:

  • Obtains and maintains current CPR certification; certification for CPR and first aid to be completed within sixty days from the hire date.
  • Knowledge of:

  • General office equipment.
  • Skill In:

  • Verbal and written communication; maintaining rapport and composure with parents, students, staff, and the general public.
  • ADA and Other Requirements:

    Positions in this class typically require: climbing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
