Summary:

The Audit, Compliance and Privacy Education Consultant assists in the design and development of educational offerings designed to increase organizational skills and competencies. This role develops strong partnerships with departments by providing guidance to positively influence individual and organizational performance and results to assist in the achievement of the Audit, Compliance and Privacy (ACP) departmental objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Development: Assists in the design of educational offerings requested by ACP departmental leaders. Assistance shall include the development of content in the format and on the platform requested by ACP departmental leaders. Actively participates in the development of content for departmental training as well as the delivery of such training at UNC Health's new hire and new provider orientation programs. Ensures departmental training objectives and identified outcomes are consistently met and are aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Process Improvement: Participates in accomplishment of continuous internal improvement objectives for the department. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
  • Project Management: Participates in department sponsored program and project assignments, working independently or collaboratively as appropriate to accomplish the assignment. Identifies issues and assists in developing strategies to address them prior to issue becoming critical. Completes all assignments on time within the boundaries of the agreed upon delivery date.
  • Consultation, Collaboration and Support: Works closely with Departmental Subject Matter Experts in many areas to develop a variety of education programs/modules/whitepapers/PowerPoints and other training materials in a variety of innovative formats based on the requests of departmental leaders. Supports activities to improve organizational effectiveness and performance results by assisting with planning and implementation of organizational development projects. Works collaboratively and in conjunction with other staff members to ensure coordination of programs and services to meet staff development needs. Works closely with Human Resources to provide assistance to departments during organizational change initiatives to increase efficiency and service. May provide consultation and support for employee engagement survey planning.
  • Professional Development: Maintains knowledge of best practices in Organizational and Training development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • If a Bachelor's degree: Four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • If an Associate's degree: Eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and learning methodologies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to design and/or facilitate training programs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to select the appropriate training programs to meet identified needs. 

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System, in a department that provides shared services to operations across UNC Health Care. This is not a State employed position.
