Position / Role Description:


The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support of all Health and Welfare and Retirement Programs. This includes supporting the Benefits team through data analytics, compliance initiatives, and all routine benefits processes. This is completed through interaction, understanding, review and recommendation of process / system improvements that will improve efficiencies and better prepare the organization for scale and growth.


Principal Responsibilities & Duties:

• Performs multiple routine data audits and reconciliations to assist in maintaining data integrity, compliance, and accuracy of all Crew data (i.e., health and retirement benefits elections, bi-weekly payroll audits, etc.)
• Proactively monitors integrations and partners with Crew Systems to troubleshoot errors with vendors to resolve issues impacting Crewmember enrollment and eligibility
• Completes monthly invoice reconciliations for all carriers
• Responsible for completing compliance filings for various federal, state, and local entities (i.e., EEO-1, CA pay data reporting, annual 401(K) audit, and bi-weekly payroll audits, non-discrimination testing, 5500 filings, ACA 1095-C filings, etc.)
• Supports Open Enrollment administration, testing, communication and reporting as needed
• Completes testing on benefit processes and reporting functionality related to semi-annual Workday Releases, regular system updates/enhancements, and provider implementations as needed
• Responsible for creating and modifying reports and analyzing data and metrics that allow the team to make informed business decisions
• Identifies trends in data and continually seeks to improve business processes and create efficiencies when possible
• Completes Benefit benchmarking surveys as necessary (i.e., CRTRA, BlackBox Intelligence, etc.)
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned
• Generates and creates Workday reporting as needed

Qualifications, Experience & Education:


• 5+ years combined Benefits/HRIS experience
o 2 -3 years of experience in an analyst role
• Must have prior Workday benefits experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Eligibility to lawfully work in the U.S. is required
