Analyst, Marine Product and Procurement

Role Summary:

This position is responsible for various aspects of marine product development, operational process improvement, cost control, and marine vendor contract management. The main areas of responsibility for this position are:

  • Assist in administering North American marine cost savings program which oversees and promotes the cost reduction and control efforts across various departments
  • Calculation and tracking of cost savings programs
  • Financial analysis of operations costs and budgeting
  • Design and analyze Tender Bids and Rate Offers
  • Generates data and reports on key performance indicators and internal benchmark programs
  • Gathers data from company data warehouse and operative systems for use in analytical reporting
  • Maintaining service rates and contract agreements in internal systems
  • Exception handling of terminal and marine invoices

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Developing and maintaining a relationship with suppliers
    • Monitor supplier market and industry developments
    • Monitoring and reporting on service quality and addresses performance concerns with suppliers
    • Performing data analysis of cost expenditures and trends
    • Supports the Procurement Team in daily activities

        • Advanced knowledge of macros, pivot tables, and formulas in MS Excel
        • M&R, intermodal rail & truck, equipment control, terminal and/or other container operations background

          Required Minimum Years Experience:

          2+ years of marine, terminal, and/or ocean carrier intermodal operations experience

          Required Minimum Education:

          Bachelor's Degree Preferred
