Test Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently hiring for an Engineering Test Technician for a company located in Greene, NY. This individual will support the testing of new product development and product health projects.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates/drives test equipment, vehicles, prototypes, fixtures or product for standard tests, as well as new and unusual tests
• Performs tests per defined procedures
• Assembles, repairs, and/or runs equipment for new or non-routine tests
• Tests products and equipment from verbal and written instructions, resolving routine questions and problems and some unusual questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels
• Processes and reports data following defined methods, including the use of spreadsheets, graphs, and formal written reports and oral presentations
• May be required to extract engineering/manufacturing data from various prescribed and non-standardized sources internal and external to the company

Requirements:

• Proficiency with tools suited to area of specialization, such as: specialized test equipment, personal computer, AutoCAD, PCAD, Pro Engineer software, gages meters, and/or hand tools
• Good communication and analytical skills in order to interpret and present data, as well as to make recommendations
• Position requires at least 2 years of experience in a technical/test/evaluation or engineering environment.
• Experience and ability must be broad enough to often work on unusual and complex assignments, utilizing specialized tools and test equipment
• A two-year technical degree is preferred
• Experience in these areas: reading engineering drawings, principles of electronics, hydraulics, and/or engineering or manufacturing processes
