We are seeking three experienced Dentists to join our supportive and friendly dental team at Mary's Center. The Dentist is responsible for the delivery of quality and efficient dental care to patients at our 3 dental sites - Georgia Ave., Fort Totten and Silver Spring - as well providing dental service on our mobile dental facility. As an FQHC, Mary's Center has the unique opportunity to treat a diverse patient population in DC and Maryland, as well as the Medicaid/Medicare population.

The Dentist will practice comprehensive oral hygiene in our clinics and lead tele-dental appointments, on an as-needed basis. The Dentist will provide oral health education and appropriate individual counseling, in addition to complete routine and comprehensive oral examinations. There may be cases where patients will require treatment of moderate to severe dental infections on an emergency basis. This role will oversee the dental hygienist and dental assistant on duty and may have the opportunity to consult on the purchase of dental equipment.
The Dentist must be cognizant of the public health, social and economic factors which impact on the overall health, and more specifically the oral health of their patients. The ability to creatively solve problems and work collaboratively with other health care professionals from a variety of disciplines is an important part of this position.
The Dental Hygienist must have unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the District of Columbia and Maryland, as well as current CPR (BLS) certification for this position. The work schedule is a flexible four, 10-hour work week, including some scheduled Saturdays.
