Description SAIC is seeking a Project Coordinator supporting our Joint Staff J6 government customer. The ideal candidate will have experience on a Joint, Service or combatant command operational staff providing coordination for Information Technology services including planning, data collection, and reporting phases of assessment or demonstration project events.

Position Description:

This position is at the Joint Staff Complex, Suffolk, VA. The position supports the JS J6 Deputy Director for Cyber, and Command, Control, Communications and Computers Integration (DD C5I) in the Cyber, Engineering and Operations Division. Work would be on-site at the Suffolk, VA location. Travel would be approximately 20% supporting exercises and assessments.

General Duties:


    Exercise technical project management skills such as defining engineering resource requirements for systems and network integration, architecting system interface, supporting validation and verification, monitoring and analyzing system and network performance.
    Conduct technical coordination meetings with functional team members to communicate project requirements, brainstorm technical solutions, and coordinate task assignments.
    Develop project resource estimates using basic project management techniques to comprise functional team labor hours, travel, materiel procurements (hardware, software, and/or maintenance), and miscellaneous costs.
    Develop project execution schedule to comprise planning, build, event execution, and tear-down tasks; use basic project management techniques to backward-plan task accomplishment according to intermediate milestones and overall deadlines.

    Qualifications Required Qualifications:


      Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Educational equivalency for this position is defined as at least eight (8) years' experience in the analysis of large-scale systems design and management.
      Must have an active Secret security clearance and be eligible for Top Secret
      Must be a U.S. citizen


      Desired Skills


        Systems/project engineering/project management experience.
        Experience with state-of-the art data processing and telecommunication systems (less than two years old) analysis and design of advanced technologies.
        Experience in the application of computer models and simulations used for operational planning.
        Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Project, and Visio.
