  Job Description:
  
  
  
  • Drive Tandem axle 52,000LB GVW 26' Straight truck through variable routes
    
  • Loads and unloads groceries from truck by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly.
    
  • Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
    
  • Delivers and stacks merchandise on customer's premises and collects payment or obtains receipt for goods.
    
  • Verifies load against shipping papers.
    
  • Prepares receipts for load picked up.
    
  • Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
    
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
    
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
