Location:New Caney, TX OR Bessemer, AL


Highly visible HR business partner supporting our network of customers and sites in a multifaceted travel role for human resource programs, processes and associate relations.

  • Effectivelypartner with local leadership toguide day-to-day decisions about people and foster behaviors which are consistent with Saddle Creek's values
  • Timely and consistentlymanage associate relations,performance management, investigations, recruitment and selection
  • Educate teams on company and legal requirements and ensure compliance across HR functions
  • Dotted line management of Human Resources Coordinators supporting assigned facilities whose responsibilities include hourly recruiting and onboarding, hourly time keeping and compensation, and general HR administration within the facility
  • Support employee development at all levels
  • Coach individuals and teams to higher performance
  • Identify and implement improvements in HR effectiveness and processes
  • Facilitate change management; assist with start-ups
  • Promoteeffective two-way communications
  • Personally contribute to achievement of business goals
  • Routinely travels betweenfacilities (up to 70% overnight travel as needed)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, PHR preferred
  • At least5years of experience in HR roles with increasing responsibilities some of which must have included HR generalist responsibilities
  • Experience in HR operations for multiple states preferred
  • Experience working in a non-union environment and executing union avoidance measures and tactics
  • Experience inlogistics, manufacturing or similar industry preferred

  • Proven ability to influence all levels of HR teams, Management and other associates
  • Self-starter with a strategic viewpoint
  • Ability to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Ability to anticipate and analyze problems, resolve issues through creative problem solving and manage multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to adapt those skills to the audience
  • Knowledge of HR labor and employment law, and the ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge or experience in Workday preferred.
