UW Medicine Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day shift (Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3pm), SUPPLY CHAIN TECHNICIAN 1 based at UW Medical Center-Montlake. The Supply Chain Technician (SCT 1) performs supply put away, picks, distributes, and delivers general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout various healthcare settings.
High School graduation or equivalent.
DESIREDHealthcare experience preferred.Proficiency in utilizing the MMIS.Knowledge of general office equipment such a fax machines, copy machines, and printers.Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to include coworkers, management, and clinical partners.Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including active listening.Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and problem-solving. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTTyping, use of computers, computer software, and the ability to learn software applications necessary in the performance of typical work.Lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching (overhead/extension), sitting, stooping (bend at waist), and twisting (knees/waist/neck).Continuously grasping/handling, lifting, standing, and walking. UW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center - Montlake, UW Medical Center - Northwest, Valley Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest.
