As a vital member of our People & Places Solutions team in the Americas, you'll have the chance to support our client Amtrak and their ADA Stations Program (ADASP) through the US where we'll depend upon your expertise, intuition, and leadership. You'll be instrumental in bringing Amtrak station components into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADASP implements and preforms design and construction of
infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak's intercity rail transportation system.
You'll grow professionally with us because we'll rise together on impactful programs with a high degree of technical and logistical complexities from the concept stage through the design and construction phase. You'll be leading a broad-based team to complete all aspects of the successful completion of a program, to complete tasks within established schedules, budgets and help advance our business development strategies.
In this role you will serve as Amtrak's representative to manage and coordinate with external entities such as design consultants (Designer of Record-DOR) Host Railroads, General Contractors, State Historic Preservation Offices and Local Authorities. Where you'll need to be flexible and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Our clients face myriad issues and will lean on you for expert advice and guidance. While providing design guidance to the Designer of Record, and the General Contractor during Construction Phase Services (CPS), with enforcing Amtrak standards focusing on ADA compliance.

Ability to maintain Schedules, prepare reports and presentations, edit specifications, review change orders and shop drawings.
Ability to travel periodically to Amtrak stations nationwide to perform ADA site assessments at Amtrak Stations.
Experience in site development and building renovation.
Overall knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Experienced with the International Building Code, ANSI A117.1 and ADA Guidelines DOTAS 2006
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Bachelor's degree in architecture or civil engineering
Licensed Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.
At Least eight years of design experience.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated design and
Organizational skills with interest in renovation, transportation, and historic preservation.
Experience working with Railroads, Rail stations or related work.
