The Deputy of Information Technology is a management position in the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue, one of Loudoun's five elected Constitutional Officers and is responsible for the management of the Information Technology support for the tax assessment systems within the office. The position manages a team of seven staff members responsible for ensuring that all systems and equipment utilized for the assessment of personal property, real property, business taxes are functional at all times. This team also provides reporting support to the office, other county departments, and outside entities. The Deputy is responsible for seeking innovative solutions to applying the Code of Virginia as it relates to local tax assessment. Must be an extremely well-organized problem solver with keen research skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and motivate a team of information technology professionals. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
HIRING RANGE: $76,468.91-$105,144.75
Salary commensurate with experience
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in information technology, computer information systems, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years related professional experience in information technology or computer information. Knowledge of MS Office Suite including Access, SQL Server Developer with experience defining and writing queries, SQL Reporting Services, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Vizio. Experience is preferred with automated tax assessment systems, customer services, and direct personnel supervision. Prefer Public sector experience.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background, credit and driving record check. Must maintain a valid driver?s license.
