JOB PURPOSE

The Market Research Managerwill report to the Vice President of Marketing and will primarily focus on researching, developing, facilitating, and analyzing critical market research initiatives. This would include the full lineup of product pillars within Beacon, including: eCommerce, Brand Development, Digital, Private Label, Solar, Waterproofing, and Canada. This individual will be highly organized, intuitive, curious, analytical, motivated, and capable of working on their own initiative and under pressure. This person will have the opportunity to develop the future of Market Research for Beacon, as this is a new role and function at this Fortune 500 company.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Consult internal clients about research objectives and requirements.
  • Formulate a plan and present it to senior management.
  • Design, administer, and interpret surveys, experiments, focus groups, polls, market research, sales data, etc.
  • Manage and organize information with statistical software conducting qualitative or quantitative surveys.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and solutions, including surveys and focus group transcripts.
  • Collect and study information about customers, sales trends, products, and services to direct our future business and marketing plans.
  • Maintain competitive analysis of primary and secondary players; especially as it relates to digital / eCommerce aspects.
  • Work with data analysts to translate consumer data into functional and accessible information that can help us change or revise a product, service, marketing strategy, or sales tactic.
  • Develop strong client and vendor relationships to deliver customer information that has a direct effect on our business goals and ROI.
  • Work with agencies to develop more detailed and robust studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical software, databases, etc.
  • Possess acumen of web analytics and business research tools.
  • Deep knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.).
  • Data warehousing, and data-mining.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Demonstratedsuccess inworkinginademanding,highperformancework environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of customers and leaders.
  • Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strongprojectmanagementskills
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work extra hours if needed during key meetings.
  • Travel required as needed.
