We are looking for an Assembler to perform electro-mechanical sub-assembly operations while following computer aided work instructions. This position requires candidates to have strong attention to detail with respect to quality of assembly work. Qualified candidates will be working with all simulation product lines. The position is located onsite in Sarasota, FL and schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional overtime.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reads, interprets, and works from visual assembly instructions on a workstation computer, drawings, part lists, and verbal instructions.
Assemble components per work instructions by utilizing the following tools:
Soldering iron (occasional)
Identifies and selects floor stock components to be integrated into assembly units.
May be required to work with and handle medium to heavy weight.
Review incoming pick lists and materials to ascertain shortages. Report and/or record shortages.
Utilize the 5S standards of cleanliness: sort, set, shine, standardize and sustain.
Complies with company policies pertaining to inventory control and quality. Complies with Global Health and Safety Policy.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Manufacturing Certification preferred.
1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience and/or related formal technical training program.
Effective communication skills.
Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to think critically and problem solve.
Physical Demands and Abilities:
Regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Occasionally required to walk, reach, kneel, and crouch.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently life and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Excellent eye-hand coordination.
Frequently required to use hand tools to complete assigned tasks
