Our in-house restaurant, Tiny Feast, features a range of offerings such as small plates, pastries, lunch, dinner, and desserts, as well as coffee and a full bar. We offer a hybrid service model, including counter-service, table-service, and take out.
The Sous Chef will assist in the overall management of the restaurant, and lead in the absence of the Chef Manager. This position will be responsible for assisting the Chef Manager in training and leading a high-functioning F&B team, including front- and back-of-house personnel. As this role has customer-facing components, exceptional customer service is paramount. In addition, the following are skills which applicants will need to possess:
Practical culinary experience required
Practical bartending/barista experience preferred
Actively-engaged management style
Team player and motivator
Superior leadership & management skills
Problem solving & delegation
Time management and organizational skills
Proficient in restaurant systems (such as POS/Inventory/Scheduling)
Restaurant financial knowledge (P&L/Budget/Food & Labor Costs)
The restaurant will have a full liquor bar and wine program, as well as coffee service and food-handling. This is a great role for a person with cross-over experience between both kitchen and FOH, feels comfortable in both worlds, and wants responsibility and an opportunity to help develop and grow the concept.
