Work as part of assigned crew performing Carpentry and Maintenance work to facilitate repairs and installation of animal habitats
Repair and maintain a variety of facilities and structures
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace park lighting and electrical systems as needed
Make a wide variety of repairs to: buildings, roofs, fences, gates, walls, drains, floors, doors, stairs, and fixtures
Perform work on ozone generators, compressors, blowers, fans, pumps, and motors as assigned
Participate in emergency procedures regarding flooding, wind storms, utility outages, earthquakes and hazardous waste spills.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of hazards
Maintain adequate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
Ensure that work orders are competed correctly and in a timely manner.
Follow all safety procedures and hazardous material policies. Wear personal protective equipment as needed.
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of work area and department equipment.
Position may require working on ride structures
Adhere to all Park policies.
Other duties as required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and 150 lbs with assistance
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and scaffolds, and operate various types of high reach equipment.
Must be able to walk and sit for extended periods.
Proven ability to use power hand tools.
Proven ability to work outside in any weather conditions.
Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
Must be able and willing to comply with required safety protocols
