The Third-Party Management (TPM) Senior Risk Officer will join Citi's Enterprise Third Party Risk Management group, which is accountable for the end-to-end Third-Party Management program at Citi, covering both external suppliers and Inter-Affiliate service providers. The TPRM Senior Risk Officer is responsible for the identification, implementation and continual improvement of the TPRM lifecycle, Policy and processes, This role will focus on maintaining effective TPRM governance for Citi-wide activities for both Internal and External Third Party Suppliers. The Governance lead will look to improve lifecycle interfaces and dependencies with all sectors and act as one of the primary, single point of contact for TPRM Governance related issues for all internal Citi businesses.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Oversees the application of TPM Policy and Standards, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to risk events by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Serves as an oversight function working with stakeholders across the organization to verify that the governance, risk, and control oversight activities for External Third Parties are performed and completed in a timely manner.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and /or other team members to help them understand TPM Policy requirements.
  • Resolve TPM Process-level escalations coming from internal partners.
  • Maintain a strong Eternal Third Party Management framework for Citi as a critical component of a comprehensive Citi Third Party Management program.

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk management and Third Party Management is preferred
  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of external Third Party Management processes, infrastructure, and risk and controls experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence desired outcomes at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong skills in creation of technical documents and reporting tools
  • Attention to detail with strong emphasis on quality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple deliverables in a large, global corporate environment

  • Intellectual curiosity – ability to master new subject matter, ask good questions and connect the dots across various Policies and functions
