SCOPE OF WORK
The Community Interpretation Volunteer will assist the Community Interpreter Program (CIP) program manager in scheduling appointments with appropriate interpreters, taking into consideration interpreter's availability, training, experience, past performance, and familiarity with client's needs and identify potential candidates for community interpreter training to recruit them to the CIP at an appropriate time. In the absence of the CIP Manager, undertake other CIP duties as needed and as assigned by program Manager.
Excellent English language, computer and internet research skills.
Familiarity with online scheduling systems and experience in administrative work.

This position is requires a minimum commitment of 6 months and 15 hours per week. 20 hours per week preferred.
IRC Silver Spring is operating remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteers will start remotely, and the situation will be reevaluated as things evolve.
