Job Description:

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing strategic marketing programs for the Steve Madden Retail stores. You will be responsible for creating and delivering successful in-store marketing plans that drive brand awareness and produce meaningful and sustainable results. Your goal is to improve traffic to our stores, drive consumer engagement through compelling in-store activations, and bridge the gap between digital and in-store experiences. You will need to collaborate cross-functionality to develop a customized store strategy that is location specific and successfully execute events, promotional plans, and programs. You will need to stay current with competitive marketplace trends and best practices in retail while always thinking through an omnichannel lens.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute strategic marketing programs for Steve Madden stores
  • Liaise between the store team and Marketing team to analyze and define opportunities
  • Own the development of the strategic retail marketing and creative brief and partner with internal creative and channel experts on the execution of the in-store marketing plan, inclusive of signage, email, digital, social, etc.
  • Develop and execute strategic and creative events that drive traffic and increase customer sales
  • Proactively analyze results in order to refine and improve future program which continues to develop business opportunities and maximizes sales
  • Ensure all retail marketing strategies and experiences are scalable, with flawless execution delivered on time and on budget.
  • Partner with internal teams and outside vendors on the creation, delivery, and execution of all retail marketing strategies and materials.
  • Work cross-functionally with key team members like eCommerce, social & influencer marketing teams to leverage strategic marketing opportunities
  • Partner with the visual merchandising team on strategies for merchandising and category management within stores
  • Work with the Store Leadership Teams to maximize local event marketing opportunities
  • Maintain store marketing/event calendars on an ongoing basis
  • Other store initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years in Consumer Marketing, Events, or Retail experience
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and creative campaign development
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets
  • Deep understanding of strategy, planning, implementation, and idea generation
  • Experience developing cross-channel marketing campaigns
  • A strong network of industry contacts within retail and marketing
  • Trend follower, innovator, and out-of-the-box thinker
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, process-driven but also full of creative ideas and big-picture thinking
  • True team player and not afraid to roll your sleeves up to get things done
  • Motivated go-getter that accomplishes goals
