The Telephonic Registered Nurse will be responsible for telephonically assessing, triaging, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating injured workers through the workers compensation medical case management process. Provide triage to all work-related injuries/illness; recommend first aid treatment when appropriate; and coordinate/schedule medical treatment for all work-related injuries/illnesses needing care by a license medical provider for the Seaboard Foods employees throughout the Animal Operations division. In addition, the nurse will provide support the Work Compensation Manager in Animal Operations by serving as a liaison between employees, medical providers, and company.


  • Assessment of employee work related injuries/illnesses and delivery of appropriate medical triage or recommendation of first aid treatment. Follow-up on first aid treatment as needed.
  • Communicate and update workers’ compensation manager on all work-related injuries/illnesses.
  • Input and update all work-related injuries/illnesses in CCMSI’s iCE data system.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all information.
  • Input and update work related injuries/illnesses in CCMSI’s iCE data system when applicable
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the company’s substance abuse policy.
  • Support the worker’s compensation manager in handling legal record keeping and noting trends/issues to be taken to appropriate human resources and operations management.
  • Communicate and keep the HR/Safety department abreast of employees with work restrictions, work related absences, etc.

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required

  • Minimum 3+ year related experience, especially with trauma or triage situations (i.e. hospital ER setting, etc.)

  • Work history and experience with occupational injury assessment, triage, etc. preferred

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
