Description SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Nevada! As a member of the team you will be providing design, development, and support to facilitate a successful instantiation of a development environment enabling multilevel security (MLS)-aware application development. You will be on the forefront of new technologies and concepts, and will design, build, test, operate and maintain this environment to support mission-specific applications in a MLS enterprise solution. Key Duties/Responsibilities: * As a member of the team, properly configure operating systems and other networked devices according to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), and vendor best practices * Scan systems using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scanning and remediate findings * Provide software architecture, systems engineering, security verification and validation * Develop evidence and artifacts in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 rev5 and JSIG standards to support a Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization to operation (ATO) decision * Assist with developing and maintaining interconnection security agreements with external networks * Develop and implement continuous monitoring strategy to maintain a continuous ATO * Analyze proposed system, network, and software designs for potential vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigations and/or countermeasures * Help develop an application workflow to transfer approved MLS-aware applications into a production environment * Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of project requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. * DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification * Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills * Clearance required: Top Secret/SCI Desired Skills/Qualifications: * Experience with RMF authorization for Special Access Programs (SAP) * Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks * DevOps or DevSecOps certification or training * Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks * DevOps or DevSecOps certification or training COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees will be required to adhere with SAIC's vaccination policy.
