Kwest Group is looking for an energetic, motivated Dispatch Coordinator. The Dispatch Coordinator is an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join a winning Equipment Operations team reporting directly to the Equipment Operations Manager and working with other members of the Equipment team as well as the Field Operations team. The successful candidate will be energetic, have a strong sense of urgency, be highly motivated and driven to excel in all areas of DOT compliance and dispatching, as well as a desire for:
Responsible for DOT and Fleet Safety regulatory compliance including:
Assist in managing the comprehensive maintenance of company owned DOT assets including tracking that telematics are reporting correctly
Send out weekly a utilization report for DOT assets
Dispatch all trucks of off request that come in from the General Superintendents
Order all permits required for equipment moves
Keep trucking schedule and forecast up to date inside of the Kwest Plan Software
Keep accurate inventory of wood mats for movement and disposal cycles
Visit job sites, as needed, to ensure all DOT and logistics request are being fulfilled
Maintain a positive attitude and good working relationships with customers, employees, and the public.
Perform all duties consistent with the Company Mission Statement and the "Kwest Group" philosophy.
Overnight and conference travel as needed Qualifications
High School Diploma, some college preferred
1-5 years of relevant experience working with trucking compliance and logistics
Specific understanding of DOT requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and transportation related software including dispatch software and ELDs.
Excellent interpersonal skills and well developed written/verbal communication skills
Sense of urgency and quick turnaround
Must be able to handle conflict and problem solve
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, completing complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision
