Delivery Driver (Punta Gorda) - Now Hiring

Florida Building Supplies is seeking a motivated Delivery Driver to join its team.

Specific duties include:

·         Driving route deliveries; Hand Unloading material packages at the jobsite.

·         Checking all packages for accuracy and ensuring that they are secured for delivery

·         Pulling and loading orders for delivery truck

·         Maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse

·         Unloading/receiving deliveries

·         Operating forklifts is a plus

·         Performing all duties safely, clean driving record a must

Specific qualifications include:

·         Must have sound experience driving with a trailer; our trucks pull 18’ trailer.

·         Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) just under 26,000 lbs; F450 type.

·         Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle

·         Solid organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Ability to lift 75-100 pounds consistently

·         Ability to stand, bend, twist, and reach

·         Must have or be able to pass DOT Physical; CDL not required

·         Previous warehouse and forklift experience are preferred

·         Positive demeanor and team player

·         Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with  a raise after 60 days

·         This is year-round work and you will need to work overtime as necessary
