SCOPE & CONTACT:

Under the general supervision of the Regional COO, the incumbent has frequent contact with business and community professionals, bank customers, as well as frequent contact with employees.  Must exercise good human relations skills at all times.  Professional and customer contact is face-to-face, by telephone and written correspondence.  Interbank contact is by telephone, written correspondence and face-to-face.  Due to the experience and proficiency level of this job, the incumbent receives only general supervision and instructions; however, results of work are reviewed.  Physical effort required is average.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Incumbent performs a wide variety of secretarial and administrative duties that include support of operations, retail, composing letters, typing, researching information, greeting visitors, answering customer questions and compiling/preparing reports and handles special projects as assigned.
  • Prepares monthly reports for COO.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Assist in coordinating vendors for facility management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate, some college and three years administrative/executive secretarial experience in banking is required. 
  • Extensive experience in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with pc's and related technology hardware and software, telecommunications, and general troubleshooting.
  • Qualities necessary for this position are: confidentiality, reliability, integrity, initiative, customer relation skills, flexibility, speed, ability to handle multiple tasks at a time and to work under deadlines. 
  • Professional demeanor is extremely important.
  • High visibility necessitates strong background in public relations.
  • Requires strong background in communication, math, general business and banking documentation.
  • Data entry and typing skills must be above average (60 - 70 wpm).
  • Must be proficient in grammar, punctuation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well with customers as well as co-workers in all areas.
