Summary of the Position
The duties of an Operation Supervisor consist of the following:
· Train light service technicians
· Manage calls, call logs, and route assignments of light service and Tow technicians
· Maintain personal appearance and uniforms in compliance with established Company standards.
· Perform emergency roadside services, tire changes, lockouts, jump starts, fuel etc., on occasion and cover shifts of service technician(s) and tow truck drivers, as needed
· Set and attend monthly meetings with technicians regarding safety related issues, service performance, member survey results etc.
· Draft and send daily communications (text messages) to light service technicians and tow truck drivers regarding safety, quality, performance etc.
· Study information provided by the Company to maintain and upgrade industry and job knowledge
· Perform monthly audit and inspection of truck equipment and supplies
· Manage weekly vehicle mileage and gas usage for each vehicle.
· Operate vehicle in a safely manner.
· Follow up with AAA members to evaluate technicians’ customer service and performance.
· Ensure service techs perform daily pre/post checklist, keep trucks clean and up to standards, signage on vehicles as well as equipment are in good condition, and vehicles are being serviced (oil changes) before 4K mileage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate should have the knowledge, skills and abilities to:
· Strong communication skills—technicians will interact with customers, speaking to them about their automotive problems, potentially diagnosing the cause, and providing necessary assistance
· Advance knowledge of cars and automotive maintenance and parts—many technicians will perform small repairs on the scene of a breakdown
· Management experience
· Ability to learn basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
· Strong work ethic and ability work well with others
· Presentable appearance
Educational and Experience Requirements
· Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
· Valid driver’s license and record of safe driving
· Georgia Special Operator’s License or Certification from Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
· Minimum 2-4 years work experience
· Experience in trucking or automotive repair is a plus
· College Degree or Associates Degree is a Plus
